The God-Who-Forgives

5 Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His footstool— He is holy.
6 Moses and Aaron were among His priests, And Samuel was among those who called upon His name; They called upon the Lord, and He answered them. 7 He spoke to them in the cloudy pillar; They kept His testimonies and the ordinance He gave them.
8 You answered them, O Lord our God; You were to them God-Who-Forgives, Though You took vengeance on their deeds. 9 Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His holy hill; For the Lord our God is holy (Psalm 99:5-9).
Psalm 99:6–9 You could not approach the throne of the king of Persia unless he held out his scepter and gave you permission (Esth. 4:10, 11), but access to God’s throne is available to His children through Jesus Christ (Heb. 10:19–25). Under the old covenant, God provided priests who ministered at the altar and were mediators between His needy people and their Lord, but today Jesus Christ is the Mediator (1 Tim. 2:5) who constantly intercedes for us (Rom. 8:34; Heb. 7:25). To the lost sinner, God’s throne is a throne of judgment, but to the believer, it is a throne of grace (Heb. 4:14–16), and we can come to Him with our worship and praise as well as our burdens and needs. I’m so grateful we serve the God-Who-Forgives. It is such a privilege and an honor to receive His precious promises! Hebrews 4:16 states, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Let’s Pray,
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You and I ask that You would please keep my heart humbled and forgive me of my sins, help me to walk blamelessly before You.
Lord my heart aches as I see some of the choices my daughter makes, I long to see her back at the house of the Lord worshipping You, honoring You in every area of her life, please restore to her the joy of your salvation and grant her a willing spirit, to sustain her, save her, rescue her from the hand of the enemy. Silence the lies of the enemy, destroy every demonic attack, and render every witchcraft operation void. Send it back to the sender in the name of Jesus and by the power of Jesus’ blood. I plead the blood of Jesus over my daughter. Unite her heart to reverence and exalt Your holy Mighty Name. Draw her heart to worship at Your footstool. You are good, Holy, and awesome in power. Fill her Lord with the power of Your might. Give her strength to resist temptation and the devil, the adversary who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. Please guard her life and heart by Your power, fill her heart with Your overflowing love, kindness, and gentleness. Make her a God-fearing woman. Give her Your peace and bless her, O’ LORD. I love You and thank You for what You are doing in her life. She is Your Child, teach me to surrender and have quiet trust in You and You alone.

May God’s grace and peace be with you in abundance!
