5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples (John 15:5-8).
“This abiding relationship is natural to the branch and the vine, but it must be cultivated in the Christian life. It is not automatic. Remaining in Christ demands worship, meditation on God’s Word, prayer, sacrifice, and service—but what a joyful experience it is! Once you have begun to cultivate this deeper communion with Christ, you have no desire to return to the shallow life of the careless Christian”. ― Warren W. Wiersbe
Let’s Pray,
LORD Father God, Please help me to abide in You, to remain with You, and to produce fruit that my children can see. Please, Lord, fasten their hearts to Yours. Remind them of the truth of Your words, draw them closer to You, may they abide with You, walk with You, and never stop talking to You. Give them hearts of worship that they may worship You in Spirit and in truth. Give them a hunger for You and Your Word that their hearts desire is to hear from You through the Holy Bible. Please continue to reveal Yourself to them. Send ministering angels to minister to them, please, O LORD, minister to their hearts. Send them friends who will invite them to church, friends who love you and are devoted to you. Please help them choose their friends wisely.
I pray that their friends would live lives well pleasing to You, that they would walk in Your grace and love, and that You would enable and empower them to seek after You and Your will. Allow my children to remain in Your love so that Your joy may be complete in them. Teach me how to encourage and bless each of my children daily, both in words and in prayer. Help me to lay all my burdens down and help me to surrender my children to You daily, moment by moment. How I long to see them walking in Victory, on fire for You, serving You, and loving You with all of their heart, soul, strength, and mind. May You be glorified in the lives of our children, all for Your glory. In Jesus’ holy mighty name. Amen.
“We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there’s nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all. Most of us would prefer, however, to spend our time doing something that will get immediate results. We don’t want to wait for God to resolve matters in His good time because His idea of ‘good time’ is seldom in sync with ours.” ― Oswald Chambers

May God’s grace and peace be with you in abundance!
