Politics matter because policy matters because people matter! — Allie Beth Stuckey.

Christian women engage in civic life and voting from moral, historical, and theological perspectives, seeing the ballot as a tool for justice, protection, and stewardship. Because we love our nation, our city, our communities, and our neighbor, we vote with a biblical worldview to pursue justice and mercy.
Titus 2:3-5 says, the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— 4 that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
Christian living is beautiful because sound doctrine leads to right living. The Bible says older women are to teach what is good; it is good for us to be good stewards of the resources God has given us.
Proverbs 31:8–9: “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
As the elections approach, the American midterms are a few days away; let us pray, vote, and seek God’s grace and mercy. Hebrews 4:16 says, Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Let’s have courage to stand firm in the strength God has given us; vote for the lesser evil, be a voice for the voiceless. We can encourage each other to do what’s right. Micah 6:8 says, He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?
Micha 6:8 The Message: But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously.
Amen!

Ecclesiastes 10:5-7 says, There is an evil I have seen under the sun,
As an error proceeding from the ruler:
Folly is set in great dignity,
While the rich sit in a lowly place.
I have seen servants on horses,
While princes walk on the ground like servants.
The sight of servants on horses and princes walking on foot like servants is a sign of societal instability and upheaval. The preacher’s point in this scripture is not so much that servants should never be treated well or that the rich should be the only ones to hold positions of authority. He is stating the fact that sometimes political errors happen (the promotion of a fool). Such an error can be costly to a society.
God’s Word is amazing! He is always giving us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding; He reveals Himself and His Holy, mighty ways through the Words of Scripture.

Let’s Pray,
LORD Father God, You are Holy, Mighty, and Awesome in power. Thank You that You are a God of Justice and Righteousness. You are faithful and true. Please, Lord, expose the evil and deception that is running rampant in our culture and the world we live in. Please expose every evil, wicked policy, and false ideology; make it plain and simple for people to see what is really going on and recognize the spiritual battle. Please remove scales from our eyes. No matter the outcome of this election, You are God who sits enthroned above the circle of the earth; May Your will be done. We give You all the glory, praise, and honor. We love You and trust You.
