The Good News, Today is the day of Salvation

Paul teaches us about the resurrection of Jesus Christ in 1 Corinthians. He also teaches us about Salvation! We have good news!
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30
The Old Testament prophesied the virgin birth of Jesus.
Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.”
The Gospel of your salvation is putting your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, in His finished work on the cross of Calvary. Believing Jesus Christ died for your sins paying the debt in full with His blood, you could never pay on your own. You can be forgiven of your sins and live with Him in heaven forever.
We all fall short and sin, we are all sinners in need of a Savior. Our sins separate us from a Holy, Righteous, and Just God who loves us so much. We cannot save ourselves; we cannot change on our own, good works and just being good enough will not save us. We are saved by grace and believing the Gospel of salvation and that is that God sent His Son Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin birth, He came down from heaven, God in the flesh, He dwelt among us. He was crucified, brutally beaten for our sins, He died for our sins, he was buried and on the third day He resurrected. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, for the glory of God alone.
To believe the Gospel means we put our confiding trust in Jesus Christ and believing Christ makes us one with Christ. The basic truth for salvation is Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried and that He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures.
Conviction involves emotions, there is an intellectual awareness of the truth and inner conviction. The Holy Spirit convicts the heart, convicts the individual of his sins, personalizing it and the person can now see their sin and need for salvation. That is the amazing grace of God! The gift of salvation! This results in repentance. Acts 2:38, 3:19; 17:30; 26:20. Repentance means more than simply a change of mind; it is a radical turn over morally of the whole person from sin to God. True repentance is proven by action and living. (Matthew 3:8, Acts 26:20.) Repentance and belief go hand in hand.
Trust, putting one’s trust in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, it’s a result about the knowledge of Christ and a conviction that these things are true. There must be a settled trust, a moving of the will, a decision must be made as an act of the will. As a result, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things pass away; behold, new things have come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
We are given new life; no longer do we love the world and no longer are we slaves to sin! Praise God! We overcome the world! 1 john 5:4-5 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. All glory to God!
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame {Romans 10:11} “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” {Romans 10:13}
