“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments:
for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
{Ecclesiastes 12:13-14}
Psalm 111:10 tells us: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding… The Fear of the Lord is to have Reverential, Reverent, Respect for the Lord to acknowledge who He is and all of His Splendor. He is Holy, Almighty, Powerful, Just, Faithful, and True. Let us get a deeper understanding of the word Reverential: feeling or expressing deep respect or awe. Reverent: respectful: feeling or expressing profound respect or awe. consideration or thoughtfulness, a feeling or attitude of admiration.
Proverbs 1:7 also tells us
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
The wonderful thing is we can ask our Heavenly Father to fill us with a Godly Fear, and to teach us how to Love Him more and more each day and to give us a desire to want to obey His commandments. We must believe that He is a God who graciously gives and the Lord’s word says; James 1:5
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. We must believe the Lords Precious Words and His Promises, that is how we increase in Faith- read His word Believe what it says and then implement it (put His words into action) be Doers of the Word. And this is how we produce a Crop (fruit of righteousness, kindness, patience, love, endurance, perseverance.) He guides us and helps us with everything we need.
Repentance is Key in staying near to God, Repentance helps us grow closer to the Lord, when we can acknowledge and recognize our sinful behavior whether it be in word, deed or thought; we go through a cleansing process being purified getting rid of all the things in us that displease our Glorious Lord, how Kind and Patient He is with us, His mercies are new everyday. When we confess ours sins He is Just and Faithful to forgive, renewing our spirit cleansing us from all unrighteousness. How thankful I am when I am convicted. Why? Because He leads me in Life everlasting. The Lord God says: “I resist the Proud but Give Grace to the Humble“. Therefore let us humble ourselves before the Lord and confess all our sins that easily entangle us and weigh us down. “For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
For we walk by faith and not by sight. Let us Trust Him that He will continue to conform us into the glorious image of Christ our Lord. Philippians 1:6 says;
being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
